ABOUT US

When it comes to sustainability, nature is often the best teacher. Wildefire Ecoworks strives to be an invaluable part of a growing class of Saskatchewan small-scale producers. A passion for horticulture, local and provincial heritage conservation, and all things sustainable have been the driving force behind our business.

Wildefire brings together over 25 years of combined education and experience involving earth sciences, project management, horticulture, social sciences, philosophy, and heritage studies. A recent move to Saskatchewan from Alberta has provided the needed space and inspiration for bringing rare heirloom varieties of produce to local and regional markets. From our workshop, we provide sustainably sourced, natural wood products such as planters and garden stakes, all at competitive prices.

Heirloom/heritage seeds are also an important part of our business. Not only are heirloom varieties interesting and fun to grow, they represent a cultural history from across the world, particularly that of early settlers who developed some of the toughest, most productive cultivars around. Our goal is to continue this development in Saskatchewan by selecting the heartiest open-pollinated plants for their seeds.
